Most VESA-compatible Intel N100 mini PCs are already wall-mountable but may require extra accessories if a VESA mount is not part of the kit. You could mount the R58-N100 on the wall by just drilling four holes and securing it with wall anchors and screws. But the design is versatile and suitable for mounting on a chassis, under a desk, or in other configurations. It looks particularly well-suited for digital signage or applications requiring multiple displays without demanding high performance.
Mekotronics offers the R58-N100 mini PC with either Windows (11?) or an unspecified Linux distribution for the mini PC. Another day, another Alder Lake N mini pc.
The differences between cooling solutions, mounting (like here), storage, ports, etc… are pretty significant for all but the most non-trivial mini pc use cases.
That’s a good thing, even if it’s boring. But I definitely want to see Wildcat Lake in action. And it would be nice if AMD could consider competing in these with Mendocino or Sonoma Valley.
