We’ve previously seen the new Intel N150 “Twin Lake” processor in mini PCs such as Beelink EQ14 and ASUS NUC 14 Essential among others, but the new quad-core CPU is now also found in HUNSN RJ42 and RJ43 fanless network appliances with four 2.5GbE RJ45 ports. They also double as mini PCs with multiple video outputs and USB ports.
The mini PCs ship with up to 32GB RAM and 512GB of storage, support four independent displays through HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C interfaces, and offer five USB Type-A ports for expansion. The HUNSN RJ42 and RJ43 offer a similar set of features as previous Intel N100 network appliances with 2.5GbE ports such as the iKOOLCORE R2 and INCTEL N100, but with a slightly faster Intel N150 “Alder Lake-N Refresh” or “Twin Lake” processor thanks to higher clock speeds, and extra interfaces.
HUNSN RJ42/RJ43 specifications:
- SoC – Intel Processor N150 quad-core “Twin Lake” processor @ up to 3.6 GHz (Turbo) with 6MB cache, 24EU Intel UHD graphics @ 1000 MHz; TDP: 6W (up to 25W)
- Memory – Up to 32GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM memory (single socket)
- Storage
- 2x M.2 2280 NVMe SSD sockets; one fitted with up to 1TB SSD when ordering
- 2.5-inch SATA SSD/HDD slot
- MicroSD card slot
- Video Output
- 2x HDMI 2.1 ports
- DisplayPort 1.4
- DisplayPort via USB-C
- Networking – 4x 2.5Gbps Ethernet RJ45 ports (Intel i226-V controllers); Note: no WiFi/Bluetooth, so you’d need a USB dongle if required.
- USB
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) Type-A port
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) Type-C port
- 5x USB 2.0 ports
- Security – Built-in TPM header compatible with ASUS TPM encryption module
- Misc
- Power button and LED
- 4-pin socket for optional 5V PMW fan
- 80 x 80mm holes for optional external 8010 fan
- BIOS with auto power on, WoL
- Power Supply – 12V/5A DC input
- Dimensions and Weight
- RJ42 – 145.6 x 126.5 x 53.6mm | 1.3 kg
- RJ43 – 145.6 x 158? x 60.2mm | 1.3 kg (Something is wrong here, and 158mm is likely 126.5mm instead, but at least we can see the RJ43 is taller from the photos)
- Temperature Range – Operating: -10°C~70°C; storage: 0°C~70°C
- Relative Humidity – 5%~85% non-condensing
Both models have the exact same features, but the HUNSN RJ43 has a different design with taller and thinner fins for cooling. The firewall/network appliances ship with a power supply, a power cord, and a warranty card. The bottom of the system comes with what looks like VESA mounting holes.
The company mentions Linux, Windows, pfSense, OPNsense, and other popular open-source software solutions are supported. This should also include Proxmox VE which we tested with the iKOOLCORE R2 to run Ubuntu Desktop and pfSense simultaneously. It’s unclear whether the systems with storage and memory ship with an operating system, so you’d likely have to install whatever you need.
The HUNSN RJ42 and RJ43 are sold on AliExpress for respectively $182 and $189.80 in barebone configuration, and there are options with up to 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. Alternatively, you’ll also find the RJ42 on Amazon for $246.99 and up, the same RJ43 is the same price.

I’m a bit confused and at the same time curious.
Why would I need a network firewall with 4 video outputs?
