AAEON provides Ubuntu 22.04 LTS with “Linux 5.15 and Linux 5.19”, which seems odd since when I install a fresh Ubuntu 22.04.3 image on an x86 platform I get Linux 6.2… Those kernels are for earlier releases of Ubuntu 22.04.

Both platforms ship with a DC in Phoenix connector, terminal blocks for RS232/422/485, DIO/GPIO, and CAN bus, and the SBC also includes a heatsink for cooling and four studs, while the mini PC’s metal enclosure handles the cooling part and a shock absorber kit is provided as an option for the UP Xtreme 7100 Edge.

  1. I asked some questions about the Linux kernel and power consumption:

    1. Yes, for the UP Xtreme 7100 we will still be using kernel 5.15 or 5.19, as 6.2 is still relatively new and product development was fully underway when it was released. However, for products kicking off in 2024, we will be introducing 6.2 support.
    2. For the power consumption, this is something I queried myself, and in fact should be 43W~47W, relatively similar to our other boards with similar specs on the Alder Lake N platform. I have requested an update to the material is initiated.
