MeLE Overclock3C mini PC boosts Celeron N5095 performance with a 18W TDP

MeLE Overclock3C is an ultrathin mini PC based on an Intel Celeron N5095 Jasper Lake processor, but instead of using the default 15W TDP, the company is pushing the processor harder than usual with the TDP set to 18W which should provide more performance in theory, as long as cooling is working well.

The rest of the specifications are pretty standard with up to 16GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory, up to 512GB storage,  two HDMI 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, as well as four USB 3.2 ports.

Mini PC with DDR4 SO-DIMM and M.2 NVMe SSD

The mini PC comes with Windows 11 Pro preloaded and ships with a power adapter and a user manual. The company has made such ultrathin mini PCs in the past such as the MeLE Quieter2Q, but those were typically fanless mini PC where the company has to lower the TDP (and the performance). The MeLE overclock3C can get more performance thanks to the inclusion of copper heat pipes and a cooling dan allowing a TDP of up to 18W.

MeLE Fanless Mini PCs vs Overclock3C

It’s unclear whether the 18W TDP is enabled by default, as the title and product description also mentions 15W. It could also be a BIOS option, but only time will tell once users get the device into their hands.

MeLE is selling the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version for $259.99 on Amazon. Other models have been listed on Amazon for a while, see 4GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB product pages on Amazon, but there’s no pricing information at this time and those two models are shown as “Currently unavailable”. The MELE Overclock3C will only be interesting to users who want extra performance in a mini PC with an ultrathin, phone-like form factor. Because users who don’t care about the mini PC thickness will find some deep discounts on Celeron N5095 mini PCs, and Intel Processor N100/N200 systems deliver more performance (even with the higher TDP) at a similar price (or even lower).

  1. These little units from Mele have has some pretty decent spec, especially with the I/O.

But now that the N100 dominates, the tech bins will be full of N5095’s, which is just a little too underpowered to really appeal.

When you tag a $260 price, then I’m afraid that for me it doesn’t even get a second thought.

  2. For that price, you can get a N100 computer and there is some spare money to buy a keyboard, a mouse and a pair of trousers 🙂
