iWave Sytems iW-RainboW-G50M is an NXP i.MX 93 OSM-L compliant LGA module with up to 2GB RAM, WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 module that is found in the company’s iW-RainboW-G50S Pico-ITX SBC designed for industrial applications.
The NXP i.MX 93 single and dual-core Cortex-A55 processor with an Ethos U65 microNPU was announced in November 2021, but we had yet to see any hardware based on the new NXP i.MX 9 processor family. The iW-RainboW-G50M and iW-RainboW-G50S change that with a system-on-module and single board computer.

The company can also provide a rugged metal enclosure to house the NXP i.MX 93 Pico-ITX SBC. Documentation for both the SoM and SBC is available, but all links require you to leave your company name and email address, and then you’d need to wait for iWave Systems to give you access to it.
The iW-RainboW-G50M/G50S are probably not available right now, as other companies have yet to launch iMX 93 modules, and the only other company I can see is TechNexion, but they don’t have details for now. NXP’s history tells us it may take around two years after the announcement before their i.MX chips become generally available. A few more details may be found on the product page on iWave Systems’ website.

Will it be to technically behind in hardware, software when finally buyable?
🤔
I have been seeing more and more blogs about these single board computers for a while now but no one posts a link on where to buy one. Where would I get the specific ones mentioned in this post?
I always post a link to the product page or store where people can purchase those. For this specific board, you’d need to contact them, it’s not directly available online.
