Tuya “T6E” is a 4-inch Android touch control panel & Zigbee gateway for OEMs

Tuya T6E is a 4-inch control panel with a touchscreen running Android 8.1 on Rockchip PX30, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee,  and designed to be wall-mounted for home automation and other HMI applications.

It looks fairly similar to the ITEAD NSPanel Pro introduced last month, for Tuya’s “Central Control System” (CSS) appears to be mostly designed for OEMs who want to roll their own products with custom firmware.

Some Tuya T6E Interfaces: Ethernet, fire alarm, underfloor heating, and light control & RS-485

The system runs the older Android 8.1 like other devices based on Rockchip PX30, and you can create your own custom device on the Tuya website. The website should also generate firmware automatically for your requirements, but it was shown not to be secure in the past. Maybe this has improved since then.

You’ll find the Tuya “T6E” on the Tuya Expo website under various names including Moes T6E, Zemismart T6E, Hihome Smart Home Control Panel, UEMON Smart Home Control System, Smatek, Aubess Ethernet Smart Control Panel, and Corui Tuya Multi-functional Touch Screen with Alexa. You’ll also notice other “Central Control Panels” (CCP) or “Central Control Systems” (CCS), as the company calls them, with different display sizes.

  1. That’s a decent amount of RAM.

I suppose it needs video decode for surveillance cameras, like the similar device posted a couple of weeks ago. And it could play cooking videos if it was stuck in a “smart fridge”.

  2. There are a lot of inaccuracies in this article. The images belong to S6E model for SEA market. T6E models have their backplate in EU dimensions without relay and RS485 outputs. Ethernet connectivity differs depending on the brand and majority of the models i’ve seen come in 1GB RAM

    see https://prnt.sc/bmpl8EdXo5xd for differences

    1. Isn’t T6E and Tuya devices configurable? Could it be possible to add RS485 and/or relays to the T6E if a customer requested it?

      1. Not at all. Tuya isn’t making the hardware, they just provide their Zigbee module and dashboard/panel app for their ecosystem. You can order a plain Android panel with no firmware on it or choose your own starting app from Smatek https://smatek.en.alibaba.com/productgrouplist-916344695/EU_UK_4_ODM_T6E_NZ.html or choose the SEA version https://smatek.en.alibaba.com/productgrouplist-916205049/Asian_4_ODM_S6_NZE.html

This is in their item description: https://prnt.sc/uRSh5wWCU4pU

    2. There are a lot of innaccuracies on your article too. Jean-luc is much more professionnal than you. Can you immagine, if things in this article can been updated, he do the update and inform poeple, even one year after the post.Take exemple of him, and go update your site.

  3. How about cellular communications? Is there any type of cellular dialer that will interface with this controller that will provide for a complete standalone alarm system?
