Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 LaptopWith only DX12 API officially supported by the GPU, Qualcomm clearly reserves this processor for Windows 11 laptops. Just like previous models, the main advantages of Qualcomm Arm processors over their x86 equivalent are the long battery life (up to 25+ hours on a charge), and built-in 5G connectivity. The performance gap is now lower with Qualcomm saying a 9W Snapdragon 8c Gen3 has the same performance as a 22W Intel Core-i5 processor, or 25% more performance when using a 15W TDP instead.

Windows 11 always-on always-connected devices from Microsoft, Lenovo, and Motorola are expected to come to market in H1 2022. More details may be found on the product page.
