Snapdragon 888 succeeds Snapdragon 865 announced a year ago, and boosts AI performance up to 26 TOPS from 15 TOPS with up to three times performance per watt improvement. The new CPU is about 25% faster, and the GPU delivers up to 35% greater performance. Another notable before is that Snapdragon X60 modem is now part of the chip itself, instead of the Snapdragon X55 modem being a separate chip with Snapdragon 865 mobile platform.
Qualcomm says devices based on Snapdragon 888 are expected to be commercially available in Q1 2021, and Vivo “V2056A” may be one of the first with Geekbench benchmarks recently published for the device.

Cortex-X1 is the high-performance part, not the referenced Cortex-M1.
Again no AV1 support? Buy Why?
Still too early for that
it’s better to buy a phone with MediaTek Dimensity 1000 already supporting AV1, or wait a few months for even more powerful Dimensity 2000.
