Realtek RTD1619 hexa-core Cortex-A55 media SoC was first spotted in 2018 in the Linux source code. Since no products had been launched based on RTD1619, I had mostly forgotten about the processor until I wrote about RTD1395 powered Dune HD RealBox 4K.
I was then informed about the upcoming Dune HD Pro 4K II, and a quick search reveals Zidoo is also working on its own RTD1619 media players with Zidoo Z9X and Zidoo X models.

The device was announced on Zidoo forum without photos, and instead, I found some on the FCC website. It’s unclear when Zidoo Z9X will launch and at what price but it should be fairly cheaper than the Dune HD device.

Zidoo X targets videophiles and audiophiles, and there were rumors of a $1,000+ price tag following a price listed on a reseller’s website, but it’s been since removed, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer for the price. Zidoo X was announced on Zidoo forum last year, and in some more recent comments, one person expects the launch in October 2020.

Zidoo replied to my email:
<blockquote>Z9X will be available about end of July</blockquote>
6-core Cortex-A55 seems interesting.
But I would skip everything until AV1 hardware decode is available.
Z10 PRO is out for pre order £269.00
Z9X £179.99
It took a while but Zidoo X is now known as Zidoo NEO X, and it’s about to be launched.
The product page: https://www.futeko.com/products/MP103.php
That thing weights a massive 10 kilograms due to the CNC milled metal enclosure.
Which may explains why Fukedo will not be able to sell it outside of China:
