$200 VOYO i8 Max 2-in-1 4G Android Tablet is Powered by Mediatek Helio X20 Processor

Mediatek Helio X20 (MT6797) deca-core processor was announced about 3 years ago, and made into various smartphones – such as Vernee Apollo Lite – as well as MediaTek X20 Android development board.

However so far, I did not see any proper tablets based on the processor, but VOYO i8 Max tablet with a 10.1″ display and 4G LTE connectivity has just started to sell for $199.99 and up including shipping. [Update: price drops to US$162.99 with GKB89VW coupon. valid until 2018/7/24]

$199.99 will only get you the tablet however, and if you want the Bluetooth keyboard too, you’d have to spend $289.99 overall, and adding the stylus brings the total price to $299.99. Somehow, there’s no option to get the tablet with the stylus only.

Voyo i8 Max is not the only Mediatek X20 tablet recently launched, as you’ll also find Chuwi 9 Air for $199.99 and up. It does not appears to sell with Bluetooth keyboard however, but has the advantage of featuring a 2K (2560×1600) 10.1″ display, and a larger 8,000 mAh battery, as well as somehow running a more recent Android 8.x operating system.

  1. Interesting at first, but it’s a 3g tablet really. It’s a common disappointment w CNX reviews as 4g refers to TD-lte only avail in Asia. Most of you’re readers are elsewhere. The tablet? 90$ max on eBay

  2. My Voyo i8 Max can connect 4G LTE/VoLTE no problem, here in New Castle, Pennsylvania, USA. It is a seriously nice phablet that even out runs my Huawei Mate 9. I sold the Mate 9 and use my up for all my communications. Very nice.
