Tablets are not quite as popular as they used to be, but there’s still a market. Allwinner A63 “2K” tablet processor was unveiled right at the start of summer 2017, but so far I had not seen any products based on the processor.
Finally, at least on tablet based on Allwinner A63 has been launched thanks to Onda V18 Pro tablet equipped with a 10.1″ 2560×1600 display, 3GB RAM, and 32 to 64 GB internal storage.
Onda V18 Pro tablet specifications:

Note that depending on which shop we look at the specifications are a little different (e.g. 802.11 ac vs 802.11n). The tablet runs Android 7.1, and ships with a power Adapter, and a user manual.
The 32GB version of Onda V18 Pro sells for $159.99 plus shipping on Aliexpress, but while the 64GB version is listed it can not be purchased on that stora. GeekBuying however offers both versions of the tablet for respectively $180.99 (32GB) and $200.99 (64GB) shipped.

that’s an interesting statement.
I’m not at all following that market, was quite surprise to see all those “andro-win” intel models surface (no pun intended), not quite sure what was the idea behind that but seeing that they were more or less stuck with android 5.1 it was quite obvious they would not be seen as a long term android market..
So what’s the current state of things ?

I was referring to market studies such as that one https://www.idc.com/getdoc.jsp?containerId=prUS42272117 showing a drop of 20% year-on-year between Q4 2016 and Q4 2015. That’s still ~53 million units for Q4 2016.
There’s still a serious market for tablets, but only garbage products are available to meet it these days. Manufacturers hate tablets. Tablets compete with phones, and when normalized phones bring much higher margins compared with tablets.
i guess everyone is different but i was never a fan of windows tablets. i think tablet should just run android because android caters for pretty much everything. iam still running strong with my xiaomi mipad 1

Sales of tablets are dropping and the top hardware is in 5.2-6″ smartphones now.
With Cherry Trail (and Atoms) killed, the only platform for win-android left is Apollo Lake/Gemini Lake.
Gemini is still unavailable, Apollo with android is almost exclusively used in 11-13 convertible notebook-ish transformers, though I’ve seen a tv-stick or two on Apollo.
Good screen spec, but how is the A63?
Hmm stil no USB Type-C on Chinese low end tablets?
