How soon can we expect it to die and never boot again?
@Murat
One or two months… 🙂
But seriously difficult to know without stats on returns.
All I have is anecdotal “evidence”, and here, where it’s hot an humid, I’ve had several reports that the cheaper boxes only last a few months. But I’ve also had people telling me they’ve been using such cheap boxes as Linux servers for almost a year.
What a scam from GB. Even with the so called “promo code”, it ends up being $24.06 to Europe. Shipping is higher than EVER at GB.
@fossxplorer
Still $19.99 for me using China warehouse with “Priority line” shipping (not to Europe though).
Spend a little more get Android 7.1.2 and A53

It comes with a firmware never to be updated again.
So tempting, just so I can find out if it has the same banding issue that i get with the s905 on old crt tvs…..but money is short…grrrrr
Can I install Debian or Ubuntu?
@MARIO
It might be possible, but there does not seem to be a lot of activity on RK3229.
Really cheap. You dare to buy it?
