In a recent list of Amlogic S912 TV boxes we found out that factory prices ranged between $47 to $54 for typical devices with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, but you can only get those price by buying in quantities, and they don’t include shipping. However, GearBest has just informed me they lowered Beelink GT1 prices to $55.99 shipped with GBGT1 coupon, which – provided the box works well – looks like a good bargain.
Beelink GT1 specifications:
- SoC – Amlogic S912 octa-core ARM Cortex A53 processor @ up to 2.0GHz with ARM Mali-820MP3 @ up to 750MHz
- System Memory – 2GB DDR3
- Storage – 16GB eMMC flash, micro SD slot up to 32GB
- Video Output – HDMI 2.0a
- Audio Output – HDMI and optical S/PDIF
- Connectivity – Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 4.0
- USB – 2x USB 2.0 ports
- Misc – IR receiver
- Power Supply – 5V/2A
- Dimensions – 9.6 x 9.6 x 1.6 cm
- Weight – 180g
Just like other S912 devices, GT1 runs Android 6.0, and supports 4K VP9, H.265 and H.264 video playback. It sells with an infrared remote control, an HDMI Cable, a power adapter, and a user’s manual in English.
In my case, shipping shows as “unregistered air mail”, so you may want to spend $1.5 to make sure it is shipped with “registered airmal” in order to avoid loss/stolen package. It can’t find GT1 on other Chinese e-retailers for now.

It would be nice to see S912 boxes with dual DVB Tuners(S2&To)…..
Cnx-software: can you find and suggest one good box for us pls?
Look for TV-Butler stick.
60 Euros ? Katastrophe !
I clicked on your link but, unless your coupon added later, Promo has climbed to $63.99 ?
Any thoughts why they state their Wifi-AC frequency band is 5.8GHz, when that is supposed to be limited to 25mW short-range-devices (prohibited in Japan) and main AC Channels 36 to 140 are 5.2 to 5.7 GHz ?
As one will probably have to take a shot in the dark ordering on this promotion prior to reviews, amongst the usual makers reviewed on this site, do Beelink have a good reputation for quick delivery, reliability, performance, updates and issue solving ?
I also would like to see S912 boxes with at least internal socket for optional extra dual ISDB-T & DVB2 terrestrial tuners.
@cnx Don’t suppose you are likely to be blessed with a sample for at least a tear-down before the 25/8 promo end date ?
Whilst this box is beautifully slim, sadly no external Antenna, your previous post mentioned another S912 in your list taking more power, that had only a SoC cooler-pad, no heatsink risking overheating, it would be reassuring to know what cooling arrangement the Beelink has.
Are you able to find out if the eMMC is at least Version5.0, and the DDR3 low-power ?
@paul
You need to type the coupon yourself to get the $55.99 price.
Specs on online resellers are only for reference, and not always accurate.
Videostrong will likely launch one model with one or more tuners in a few months, although I’m not sure about ISDB-T + DVB-T2 combo.
I’ve not been contacted for Beelink GT1 review yet. I’ll get R-Box Pro with 3GB ram, and probably Videostrong MK8 Pro.
Looks great, I saw beelink has post a beelink GT1 test on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-WIFzQzFyM
One more promo for Mecool BB2 selling for $54.99 -> http://www.geekbuying.com/item/MECOOL-BB2-Android-6-0-Amlogic-S912-KODI-17-0-TV-BOX-371022.html
I also plan on buying one. Hopefully the green flickering will be solved soon. Has anyone been able to get apps like Netflix to stream in 720p at least? I plan to use HBO Go as well. Maybe a custom ROM?
@Mihai
I don’t have green screen flickering issue here. I get it depends on the TV.
@cnxsoft
I was thinking that it might be related to refresh frequency. I will use it with a 3D TV from LG (before WebOS era). What firmware version does yours have?
@Mihai
The signal is going through Onkyo TX-NR636 AV Receiver with the latest firmware.
@cnxsoft
I am referring to the TV Box. I know the latest stable firmeare is 1.04.
@Mihai
My TV box firmware is 20161022.
@cnxsoft
Thank you for replying, mine is on the way. By the time I will receive mine, a newer firmware will be released. I do not have that many requests for it, I will most probably disable HDMI-CEC because I want to start it manually, as I do for my PS3. As I probably said before, it will replace my smartTV which I used before for all X264 full HD playback (+ HBO Go and Netflix).
A little offtopic: I would love to have an Intel SoC target at a reasonable price. I would use OpenElec on it for sure, and a SATA HDD. TOo bad Intel discontinued the Broxton SoC.
does this box supports any touch monitors?
