The project has just launched on Kickstrter and they’ve already reached over 50% of their $100,000 funding target. PGS Lite require a $230 (early bird) or $280 pledge, while you’ll need to pledge $260 (early bird) or $320 for PGS Hardcore. The downside is that they don’t have not shown a prototype yet, and all images are 3D renders, but at least they are honest about it as they show “3D render” on their materials. Shipping adds $10 to the US, and $15 to the rest of the world, and delivery is scheduled for March 2017. If everything goes according to plans, an Apollo Lake version is scheduled for Q3 2017.

There is a mistake in dimensions, it’s probably not going to be 1.4 and 1.8 mm deep, but 1.4 and 1.8 cm deep (or 14 mm and 18 mm deep).
Looks like a scam to me, too good to be true!!!
@Joe
Pricing and specs look OK to me, but the worrying part is obviously they only have rendering, and they don’t seem to have ever made a previous model. They said they have a prototype but it’s not shown at any point. I would help bring some confidence to show it, even though it may not look nice.
I was so excited about the hardcore version until the display. You cant notice the difference on a 5″ or 6″ screen for 720p or 1440, all you do is lose fps and/or power. Then lite lost me at battery size (Hardcore should have been 10000 mAh). Oh well i hope they succeed.
@Joe
I think it’s legit, there are a whole bunch of cherry trail windows/android hybrid tablets being sold on Amazon, it’s basically that platform but with game pad buttons added onto it.
But given that Intel has canned their android support division the android side is a dead end as far as updates go.
However the Intel HD GPU is really poor, real basic stuff only.
Someone could do something like this with better hardware like a CoreM with Intel Iris GPU that would at least be able to run AAA titles at low detail levels but such a handheld would be much more expensive.
@cnxsoft Yeah, I’ve been asking them when they’d have a demo video or a prototype for weeks and they said they would have one when the Kickstarter campaign went live. All they seem to have though, is a short video showing a 3D printed case with a few buttons and a screen running the intro for one game. There’s no dual-screen version yet and little evidence that this is anything but an off-the-shelf device crammed into a 3D printed case.
Once they convince me that they can actually build the product and not just produce 3D renderings and a really horrible promo video I’ll start paying attention. But it looks like they don’t really need my attention: the Kickstarter campaign has already surpassed its $100k goal.
it is a scam because
-no prototype
-all the screenshots are totally photoshop fake, they show NFS most wanted or something with separate map screen displayed on touchpad LCD ????
you could argue no prototype is not that terrible, but those screenshots are made to make you think its going to somehow get amazing unprecedented integration with older games, integration that is impossible (good luck hacking NFS title to make it support double screen ala Nintendo DS).
they said in dingoonity for the end of this year 2016 ,now in KS for March 2017 came on , they have been working in this device no prototype yet for almost two years,they have to show the prototype at the end or before the campaing ennds it,GPD win is aoround the corner,its hard to believe,time is my witness a i hope for the them to make this possible, but…. After all they claim to manny things in such as small device, ! they are a magicians ?
