Not to be confused these DragonBoards, Geniatech has announced two industrial single board boards, namely Dragon Board I and Dragon Board II, respectively powered by Amlogic AML8726-MX dual core Cortex A9 SOC, and S801/S802/M805 quad core Cortex A9r4 SoC, and targeting applications such as digital signage player, and display applications for the hospitality industry.
Let’s go through the specifications of both boards:
- SoC
- Dragon Board I (DB I) – Amlogic AML8726-MX dual core ARM Cortex A9 @ 1.5GHz with Mali-400MP2 GPU
- Dragon Board II (DB II) – Amlogic S802 quad core ARM Cortex A9r4 @ 2GHz with Mali-450MP6 GPU

The company can provide support for Android 4.2 and embedded Linux for both boards. Documentation seems a bit messy and at time inaccurate, and they mention Dragon Board is limited to 1080p, but with S802 is nearly certain they do support 4K30, and that’s what they confirmed at Computex 2014 (see ARMFlix video below). It’s also possible Dragon Board II supports Android 4.4, and not Android 4.2, as I’ve only seen Android 4.4 for devices based on Amlogic S802.
The boards appear to be available now, but the company did not disclose princing. Further more or less accurate details can be found on Geniatech’s Dragon Board page, and especially in the download section where you can download the product briefs.

I wonder if “embedded Linux” is something Linaro based modern thing and not some unknown linux-alike blob.
@riklaunim
Amlogic has released Linux systems based on buildroot for sometimes (http://openlinux.amlogic.com/wiki/index.php/Arm/Buildroot), so it might be the “Embedded Linux” they talk about.
