The company provides Android 4.2.2 (Kitkat 4.4 in July) and soon Linux support for the module, but not Windows Embedded Compact. A carrier board, VAR-SD600CustomBoard, is also available for evaluation and development purpose. The carrier board can interface with a 7″ capacitive touchscreen as well as two OV5640 CMOS sensors. Public documentation include the SoM datasheet, the custom board schematics (PDF), the mechanical design files (DXF and 3D), as well as an Android and Linux Wiki (WIP).
Variscite VAR-SOM-SD600 and VAR-S600 Custom Board appear to be available now, but pricing has not been disclosed. Further details, including the documents and SoM options, can be found on Variscite VAR-SOM-SD600 page.
