$149 Inforce Computing IFC6410 Board Features Qualcomm APQ8064 Quad Core SoC

I’ve only seen Qualcomm SoC in smartphones and tablets, as well as their own development boards, but Inforce Computing has just changed that thanks to IFC6410 single-board computer powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 quad core krait processor @ 1.7GHz. This Pico-ITX SBC comes with 2GB RAM and 4GB eMMC flash, HDMI out, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi and more.

The company will provide board support packages for both Linux and Android. You may want to watch the board introduction video below for an overview of the board.

IFC6410 is a production-ready board with compliant with RoHS and WEE standard. It will be available in May, but you can pre-order it now, or rather register your interest, for just $149 (+shipping) via IFC6410 page. With the cancellation of OPENBRIX Zero board, this is the cheapest “Cortex A15 class” board that I know of (Even though technically speaking Krait is not Cortex A15, but the performance is about the same), and with 4 cores it will even more powerful than the Arndale board.

  1. Hi,
please change the title and text. Basically speaking APQ8064 is not Cortex-A15. Qualcomm licenses just ARMv7 ISA and develops its own chips (Marvell does the same too) which is in contrast with majority of others ARM SoC manufacturers which are using ARM developed cores (like A9/A7/A8/A15). So, this is definitely not Cortex-A15!
Well, don’t be confused by Inforce Computing marketing speech “A15 class processing powered”. 🙂
    Thanks!
    Karel

You are welcome! And thanks for really nice post. It would be interesting to see for example some compilation benchmarks between real A15 (Arndale) and this APQ8064…

  3. I couldn’t find any info on QCA6264. Does anyone know if this has been released yet (is it available to buy) ?

  4. FYI:
    Marvell Feroceon = 1.2DMIPS/MHz
    ARMv6 ARM11(Raspberry Pi) = 1.25DMIPS/MHz
    ARMv7 Cortex-A5 = 1.57DMIPS/MHz,
    ARMv7 Cortex-A7 = 1.9DMIPS/MHz,
    Qualcomm Scorpion = 2.1MIPS/MHz
    ARMv7 Cortex-A9 = 2.5DMIPS/MHz,
    Qualcomm Kraits = 3.3DMIPS/MHz,
    ARMv7 Cortex-A15 = 3.5->4.1DMIPS/MHz
    ARMv8Cortex-A53 = 2.3DMIPS/MHz
    ARMv8 Cortex-A57 = 4.1-476DMIPS/MHz

I made a mistake in my initial post with QCA6264, so I’m at fault here. But I can’t find anything about QCA6234, or any QCAXXXX chipsets. AR6234 does not return anything either. I remember failing to find info about a Broadcom Wi-Fi chipset as well, they don’t seem to care putting those in their website…

It does have JTAG connectors, download the board’s datasheet, there’s a picture there of the board itself, on the left side you can clearly see the connector pins with the sign “JTAG” next to them 🙂

  7. when i click preorder avast kicks in and warns me about a virus i clicked on a couple of them and got the same result

iam no developer but i want one to connect to my tv and use as a media player i think it would be better then any tv dongle
thats out right now i think the best dongle would be one based on rk3188 and this s4 pro would eat it alive

  8. @adem
Maybe there’s some Javascript that triggers avast…

I think you need to represent a company to order this board, as the “Company name” is a required field during pre-order.

  9. could i just put anything as a company how would they know do they really care maybe they just want to sell ether way i will try and i will let you guys know @cnxsoft

  10. i put in a pre order and they will start dispatching some time in September i think i have wait for email to make payment its a couple of weeks away i cannot wait for it i wish they had the adreno 330 instead of the 320
