I know some people here have bought the original Mini X and might be interested in Mini X Android 4.0 firmware. (via Brando)

I ordered this one, it has similar characteristics, and an Ethernet port in addition.

I’ll post a short review as soon as I have it.
@ Stanislav Sinyagin
Interesting device, it looks similar to the Mele A1000 in size, price and specs, except it has 8GB vs 4GB, and the Mele A1000 has SATA interface. I understand that Ethernet is a must for you, so the choices of device is more limited, unless you go with a USB Ethernet dongle.
Looking forward to reading the review 🙂
@ cnxsoft
it just arrived this morning. The specs say about OTG USB interface, but it doesn’t seem to exist. Also the device has normal HDMI interface and SD card, so I need to find a microSD to SD adapter 🙂
I haven’t yet tried to open up the enclosure. I hope it’s not glued 🙂
@ Stanislav Sinyagin
it booted with Linaro and went into the command prompt: https://gist.github.com/3228256
the serial console has slightly better attachment points than mk802
see my blog here:

@ Stanislav Sinyagin
Nice. It would be good to add a picture showing the serial port.
All the errors you see at boot time are because of the lack of initramfs. This is fixed in github, so tomorrow’s image will support it and I’ll also post the instructions.
@ cnxsoft
I updated the post with the pictures
Now what appears to be the same device but called MK805 is sold for $75.30 on Dealextreme
Ahoj Stano , prosim o info : kupil som , ale neda sa spustit na TV je stale napis ANDROID ale dalej nenacita , prosim o radu , kde by som mohol stiahnut firmware ? dik Peter
@Peter
I guess that’s for Stanislav, but not everybody can read Slovak in here… So try to keep it in English in possible, even if your English is not perfect that’s OK.
You’re the second person that cannot boot on MiniX products today… Is there a 25th of August bug with that thing???

Thank you very much Stanislav, my problem is that when the SD card is automatically deleted – destroy firmware so I can use the SD card
