  1. The actual box for retail sales is based on TCC8920 and don’t support google services (don’t let to add google account), don run HD videos (some player run it but without audio), not rooted. And I don’t think any developer is working on this chip for ROMs etc.

  2. @ Y S
    Thanks for the update.

You’re right, it’s quite difficult to get the kernel and other GPL software source from Telechips or their customers, so it’s unlikely work will be done on this box. I’ve started asking code for TCC8925 (which should be similar to TCC8920) since I’ve purchased a device, but I don’t hold my breath.

  3. I managed to get updated ROM (update.zip) for it from manufacturer, but it still have all above problems. If you think it helps you contact me.

  4. Already found it in the menu. When will it be possible to root the box, and when will there be a CWM?

  5. Good day to All.
I have the same device. Do you know what ADB password for setting USB debuging mode?
    Thanks an advance.

  7. Hi
To root, i need to enable USB debugging – but this option seems to be password protected?
Any idea on the password, or any other otion to enable USB debugging?

  8. i am trying to root this device, but i cannot enable ADB debugging, it asks for a password. what is the password? why put a password on it?

  9. Hello,
got this tv box but I’m having problems at boot, it does not load and has no button for safe mode. Can you help me?

  10. USB debugging can *only* be used by connecting USB to the USB port INSIDE the A6. The screws to open the case are under the 4 little plastic knobs on the bottom. The password (if needed) is 123456, 1234567, or 12345678. Just try. Password may be not needed! Some tweaks and root is possible with files from tatubias. I will upload them yo my dropbox, together with a few needed drivers and tools. Unfortunatly I do not have a WIFI module inside my box and Therefore also no working Market. I have read you hace to connect (first time) to your Google account by WIFI to get Play store working.

  11. BTW Do not use flash tool FWDN, only use the needed file to install the drivers, which are also in the zip
