AAEON RICO-MX8P fanless Pico-ITX Plus SBC is powered by NXP i.MX 8M Plus AI processor

AAEON has launched another Pico-ITX Plus SBC with the RICO-MX8P single board computer powered by an NXP i.MX 8M Plus SoC with a 2.3 TOPS AI accelerator and equipped with up to 8GB LPDDR4 and a 16GB eMMC flash. The fanless 100x80mm board offers a range of interfaces such as HDMI 2.0 video output, gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (one Type-C OTG, one Type-A), RS-232/422/485 DB9 connector, and a 40-pin FPC connector for optional daughter boards. All these features make the RICO-MX8P SBC suitable for digital signage, retail kiosks, and industrial control systems such as PLCs and telemetry. AAEON has just introduced the UP Squared 7100 fanless single board computer powered by Intel Processor N-series CPUs (N97 or N100 by default) with up to 16GB LPDDR5 and 128GB eMMC flash in a compact 90 x 85.6mm form factor. The SBC can drive up to three independent 4K displays at 60 Hz, features two RS232/422/485 interfaces, gigabit Ethernet, three USB 3.2 ports, and expansion options that include a 40-pin GPIO header, and two M.2 sockets for NVMe storage and WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity. Cincoze DS-1402 review – Part 2: An Intel Core i9-12900E embedded computer tested with Windows 11 Pro

I’ve already checked out the hardware of the Cincoze DS-1402 modular embedded computer in the first part of the review with an unboxing and teardown of the Intel Core i9-12900E computer that ships with expansions such as an NVIDIA GTX 1630 graphics card held in place with a patented solution and two CMI expansion modules with four gigabit Ethernet ports each. I’ve now had more time to test the Cincoze DS-1402 with Windows 11 Pro, so I’ll report my experience with the system in the second part of the review checking out system information, testing features, running benchmarks, evaluating networking and storage performance, testing the thermal design, and taking measurements for fan noise and power consumption. NXP i.MX 95 SMARC 2.1 system-on-modules – ADLINK LEC-IMX95 and iWave iW-RainboW-G61M

Several companies have unveiled SMARC 2.1 compliant system-on-modules powered by the NXP i.MX 95 AI SoC, and today we’ll look at the ADLINK LEC-IMX95 and iWave Systems iW-RainboW-G61M and related development/evaluation kits. The NXP i.MX 95 SoC was first unveiled at CES 2023 with up to six Cortex-A55 application cores, a Cortex-M33 real-time core, and a low-power Cortex-M7 core, as well as an eIQ Neutron NPU for machine learning applications. Since then a few companies have unveiled evaluation kits and system-on-modules such as the Toradex Titan evaluation kit or the Variscite DART-MX95 SoM, but none of those were compliant with a SoM standard, but at least two SMARC 2.1 system-on-modules equipped with the NXP i.MX 95 processor have been introduced.
