ASUS N5105I-IM-A – A Jasper Lake mini-ITX motherboard with Celeron N5105 SoC

ASUS has unveiled, or rather inadvertently leaked, what may be the first Jasper Lake mini-ITX motherboard. following Intel Jasper Lake processors launch last January and a few mini PCs and 2-in-1s were introduced in recent months. ASUS N5105I-IM-A mini-ITX industrial motherboard is equipped with an Intel Celeron N5105 quad-core Jasper Lake processor with two SO-DIMM slots, VGA, HDMI, LVDS, PCIe 3.0/2.0 x1, mini PCIe, eight USB interfaces, six serial interfaces, as well as 12V DC input and output. Qualcomm Flight RB5 5G Platform is a high-end drone reference design with 7 cameras

Leveraging its involvement in the Ingenuity Mars helicopter, Qualcomm has introduced the Qualcomm Flight RB5 5G platform, a high-end drone reference design with 5G and WIFi 6 connectivity, seven cameras up to 8K resolution, and 15 TOPS of AI performance. The platform is based on Qualcomm QRB5165 octa-core processor, a variant of Snapdragon 865 for robotics, also found in Qualcomm Robotics RB5 Platform with support for Intel RealSense D435i (that should reach end-of-life soon), and provides an upgrade to the company’s Flight Pro drone based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 platform. RealSense end-of-life – Intel is phasing out its RealSense 3D depth cameras

We covered Intel Realsense technology ever since it was unveiled at CES 2014 with a 3D depth camera and Nuance Dragon Assitant voice technology for various AI applications including robotics, digital signage, and 3D scanners. Our last post was in January 2021 about a Rockchip RK3399 based industrial-grade 3D vision camera together with Intel’s announcement of RealSense ID facial authentication. Realtek AP-Router SDK vulnerabilities could impact millions of routers and IoT devices

The IoT Inspector Research Lab has discovered four high and critical vulnerabilities in the Realtek AP-Router “Jungle” SDK used for RTL819x SoCs that could impact millions of WiFi routers and dongles. An attacker can use a network attack, e.g. without physical access to the device, to generate a buffer or stack overflow helping him access the system and execute his own code. Realtek has released an advisory (PDF) with patchsets for all four vulnerabilities so you should upgrade the firmware if you can. Summary of the four vulnerabilities: CVE-2021-35392 – Realtek Jungle SDK version v2.x up to v3.4.14B provides a ‘WiFi Simple Config’ server called wscd or mini_upnpd that implements both UPnP and SSDP protocols. The server is vulnerable to a heap buffer overflow that is present due to unsafe crafting of SSDP NOTIFY messages from received M-SEARCH messages ST header. $18 Tang Nano 4K FPGA board comes with HDMI output, optional camera

Sipeed’s Tang Nano 4K FPGA board is an upgrade to the company’s Tang Nano FPGA board with a more powerful GOWIN GW1NSR-LV4C FPGA with 4608 LUT (instead of 1152) and a Cortex-M3 microcontroller embedded into the chip. Like the previous board, the new Tang Nano 4K features a USB-C port for power and downloading the bitstream, but replace the RGB LCD interface with an HDMI port, and adds support for an optional OV2640 camera.
