XCY-X66 is a tiny (75 x 75 x 52mm) mini PC based on Intel Celeron N5105 Jasper Lake and equipped with four 2.5GbE ports using Intel i225V controllers that should make it suitable for a range of networking applications. The small actively-cooled computer also comes with 8GB LPDDR4X, an M.2 2242 socket suitable for NVMe or SATA storage, one 4K-capable HDMI 2.0 port, and a few USB ports. Intel has just launched the Alder Lake-N processors and a duo of ACER Aspire 3 laptops are some of the first platforms to feature the Core i3-N305 octa-core processor, after the introduction of the MSI Cubi N ADL mini PC last week. We’ve recently reviewed the UP 4000 SBC as a more powerful x86 alternative to Raspberry Pi 4, but if it still does not cut it, AAEON de next-TGU8 or de next-V2K8 should, as the business card-sized single board computers (SBC) are equipped with respectively an Intel Tiger Lake processor up to a Core i7-1185G7E, and an AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 SoC up to Ryzen Embedded V2516.
