Avalue Technology, a Taiwanese company manufacturing industrial and embedded single board computer, has recently announced a 3.5” SBC (single board computer) micro module, labeled ECM-KA, powered by AMD Embedded G-Series SoCs. The board will feature GX-415GA Quad-core SoC by default, with GX-217GA (1.6GHz), and GX-210HA (1.0GHz) dual core SoCs as options. Gumstix Announces Solution Kits for their CPU Modules and Boards
Gumstix has recently unveiled several solution kits featuring their Overo and DuoVero Computer-on-Modules (CoMs), Pepper single board computer, and several expansions boards, together with required accessories, and software packages, in order to help their customers getting started more easily. All these solutions are based on Texas Instruments OMAP3, OMAP4, and/or Sitara processors, and run Linux (Ubuntu or Yocto), and sometimes Android for the kits with displays. About two weeks ago, VIA announced the VAB-820, which according to the company, is the first ARM based quad core Pico-ITX single board computer (SBC) on the market. A claim that looks to be incorrect by the way. The board is powered by Freescale i.MX6Quad quad core ARM Cortex A9 processor, and comes with 1GB DDR3 SDRAM and 4GB eMMC Flash.
