NanoPi M6 – A Rockchip RK3588S SBC and fanless HMI solution with an integrated 3.5-inch touchscreen display

NanoPi M6 is a Rockchip RK3588S SBC (single board computer) that is also offered as a complete fanless HMI solution with a metal case and a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 800×480 resolution. The M6 is offered with 4GB to 32GB LPDDR5 memory, supports microSD, eMMC flash module, and M.2 NVMe SSD bootable storage, features one HDMI 2.1 port, two MIPI DSI connectors, two MIPI CSI camera connectors, gigabit Ethernet, an M.2 E-Key socket for WiFi and Bluetooth, and a 30-pin GPIO header for expansion among a few other ports and features. Rockchip RK3588-powered Orange Pi 5 Max SBC features up to 16GB LPDDR5, 2.5GbE, onboard WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3

Initially teased at the Orange Pi Developer Conference earlier this year, the Orange Pi 5 Max SBC powered by a Rockchip RK3588 SoC is now available on Amazon and Aliexpress for $95 and up with 8GB or 16GB LPDDR5, and support for eMMC flash modules or soldered on eMMC flash. A 4GB RAM version is also planned for $75. The Orange Pi 5 Max is basically a cost-down version of the Orange Pi 5 Plus with fewer interfaces (e.g. 1x 2.5GbE vs 2x 2.5GbE, no HDMI input, etc..), higher bandwidth LPDDR5 memory, onboard WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and a smaller form factor between Pico-ITX and credit card size. Review of AgroSense LoRaWAN Smart Agriculture sensors with the SenseCAP M2 LoRaWAN gateway

Today, I will be reviewing the AgroSense LoRaWAN sensors from Makerfabs designed for high-precision agriculture. This time, I received four sets of sensors designed for measuring environmental data and a Seeed Studio SenseCAP M2 LoRaWAN gateway. Below is the list of items I received. AgroSense LoRaWAN Barometric Pressure Sensor – Measures the barometric pressure in a 300 to 1100 hPa range with ±0.12 hPa accuracy and 0.01 hPa resolution. Banana Pi BPI-R4-NIC-BE14 WiFi 7 module for BPI-R4 SBC launched for $74

The Banana Pi BPI-R4 was introduced last year as a WiFi 7 router board with two 10GbE SFP cages and four GbE ports based on MediaTek Filogic 880 SoC. The only issue is that WiFi 7 is implemented through a dual mini PCIe module that was not available until now. The good news is that the tri-band Banana Pi BPI-R4-NIC-BE14 WiFi 7 module for the Banana Pi BPI-R4 board can now be purchased for $73.69 on Aliexpress.
