NVIDIA has recently introduced the Jetson AGX Orin Industrial module that comes with an extended temperature range, operating lifetime, shock and vibration specifications, as well as support for error correction code (ECC) memory, and delivers up to 248 TOPS of AI performance with power configurable between 15-75 W. The industrial-grade system-on-module is based on the Jetson AGX Orin 64GB module but with lower operating frequencies to enable a longer operating lifetime and improved endurance. It’s form-factor and pin-compatible with Jetson AGX Orin, and NVIDIA says it delivers more than eight times the AI performance of the 30 TOPS Jetson AGX Xavier Industrial introduced in 2021, but does not integrate Cortex-R5F cores. Intel Atom C1100, C1110, C1130 “Arizona Beach” CPUs target low power network appliances
Intel Atom C1100, C1110, and C1130 “Arizona Beach” processors have been discreetly launched last year for low-power network appliances and customer-premises equipment (CPE). The C1100 is a dual-core processor clocked at up to 2.10 GHz, the C1110 a quad-core at up to 2.10 GHz, and the C1130 is an octa-core processor running at up to 2.5 GHz. All are manufactured with an Intel 7 process, support up to 32GB LPDDR5 memory with ECC, and offer up to twenty PCIe Gen 4 lanes. You’ll find a more detailed comparison on Intel Ark. Debian 12 “Bookworm” released with Linux 6.1
Debian 12 “Bookworm” operating system has been released with an update to Linux 6.1 LTS and a new non-free-firmware repository making it possible to separate non-free firmware from the other non-free packages. This follows the Debian 11 “Bullseye” release in August 2021, and the version of Debian will serve as the base for other Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu and derivates, Raspberry Pi OS, and so on. Debian 12 can be downloaded on a choice of desktop environments, namely Gnome 43, KDE Plasma 5.27, LXDE 11, LXQt 1.2.0, MATE 1.26, and Xfce 4.18.
