Intel Atlas Canyon NUC to feature Jasper Lake J-Series processors (Leak)

Intel Atlas Canyon NUC

Intel Jasper Lake N-series low-power processor family was introduced as an update to the Gemini Lake family last January, and the first Jasper Lake mini PC’s have just started to show up with mass production scheduled in mid-May. But now, courtesy of FanlessTech, we have more information about Intel Atlas Canyon NUC that will be offered with a choice of three Jasper Lake processors, namely Pentium Silver J6005, Celeron J5105, and Celeron J4505, all of which are J-series, and have yet to be announced/listed on Intel Ark website. Intel NUC 11 Essential “Atlas Canyon” specifications: SoC NUC11ATKC2 – Intel Celeron J4505 dual-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz / 2.7 GHz (Burst) with Intel HD Graphics @ 750 MHz NUC11ATKC4 – Intel Celeron J5105 quad-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz / 2.9 GHz with Intel HD Graphics @ 800 MHz NUC11ATKPE – Intel Pentium Silver J6005 quad-core processor clocked at 2.0 […]

Jasper Lake Mini PC offered with up to Celeron N5095 processor

Jasper Lake Mini PC

Intel officially launched the Jasper Lake processors at the beginning of the year. The new family provides an upgrade to the Gemini Lake processors that have been found in low-cost low power mini PC in the last few years. While there have been some leaks of the ASUS PN41 Jasper Lake mini PC a couple of months ago, no manufacturer has officially introduced this type of computer so far. But Newsmay Technology has now started to promote its AC8 mini PC with a choice of the six 6W/10W Celeron/Pentium processors previously announced, as well as a 15W Celeron N5095 processor that I had never heard of. AC8 mini PC specifications: Jasper Lake SoC (one or the other) Intel Celeron N4500 dual-core processor @  1.1/2.8GHz with UHD graphics; 6W TDP Intel Celeron N5100 quad-core processor @  1.1/2.8GHz with UHD graphics; 6W TDP Intel Pentium Silver N6000 quad-core processor @ 1.1/3.1GHz with […]

Intel Jasper Lake N-Series launched with 6W Celeron and 10W Pentium Silver processors

Pentium Silver J5040 vs Pentium Silver N6005

Intel has finally announced the Gemini Lake processor family successor at CES 2021 together with other processors. The Jasper Lake family currently comes with six different Celeron and Pentium Silver parts with respectively 6W and 10 TDP. The company positions those for the education market, but I’d expect them to also be found in various mini PCs, single board computers, and systems-on-module. The processors are manufactured with the company’s 10nm process, and are said to deliver up to 35% better overall application performance and up to 78% better graphics performance compared to  Gemini Lake Refresh processors. The new parts listed on Ark are not really new for CNX Software readers as we published the list of Jasper Lake processors in September following a leak. But we know have more details, so let’s compare the top parts of both Gemini Lake Refresh (Pentium Silver J5040) and Jasper Lake (Pentium Silver N6005) […]

Intel Jasper Lake Celeron & Pentium Processors Lineup Leaked

Intel Tremont

Intel has already announced Intel Tiger Lake processors designed for long battery-life, ultra-thin laptops, but which will also be found in industrial applications. I was also told Intel Elkhart Lake processors would be announced on September 24th. Elkhart Lake processors are based on the new Atom Tremont architecture, and so far, I thought they would be the successors to the affordable Gemini Lake processors. But FanlessTech just leaked the Jasper Lake lineup, also based on Tremont and whose SKUs closely match what we would expect from Gemini Lake successors. At this point, there are three desktop SKUs with 10W TDP, and three mobile SKUs with 6W TDP. All processors come with 4MB L2 cache and unspecified Intel UHD graphics. They’ll be manufactured with Intel 10nm process. What’s a bit unusual in the table above is that Intel normally uses “J” letter for 10W desktop processors, and “N” for mobile processors, […]
