Taiwan based IBASE Technology has launched the ASB200-918 series fanless embedded systems based on the company’s IB918 AMD Ryzen Embedded SBC which we covered last year, runs Windows or Linux distributions, and supports up to 4K displays. ASB200-918-series rugged computers are powered by AMD Ryzen Embedded V1605B/V1202B or R1606G/R1505G processors with 16GB ECC memory, a 64GB SSD,  various I/Os including two HDMI 2.0a output for industrial control, factory, kiosks, and other space-constrained applications. AMD Ryzen Embedded SBC Supports 4x 4K Displays Ready for Linux and Windows

The Release of the IB918 SBC The IBASE Technology Inc has released its IB918 3.5″ disk sized SBC, based on the AMD Ryzen V1000 or R1000 SoC with several different options for the base chip system. The new computers can support Windows or Ubuntu and offer several different core options. The Basics The board supports 4 simultaneous 4K displays through 2 HDMI ports, eDP and LVDS, as well as 2x GbE 2.0  and storage options include a SATA III port, and an M.2 NVMe socket.  The supports offer a choice in which SoC can be loaded, either the Ryzen Embedded R1000 SoC or the already marketed and more powerful V1000 which supports both Ubuntu and Windows. IBase IBR210 i.MX 8M SBC Targets Multi-Display Digital Signage

The latest release from IBase is a single board computer that seems to be designed for the mass business markets, especially in signage. The IBR210 is a 3.5-inch (147 x 102 mm) low-power multimedia SBC based on the NPX ARM Cortex-A53/Cortex-M4 i.MX 8M processor that comes in either a dual or quad-core running in the 1.3 GHz to 1.5 GHz frequency range.  The unit was announced on August 1, 2019, but as of yet there is no pricing information. The GPU is a Vivante GC7000Lite/GC7000VLX, and an integrated Cortex-M4F real-time core, in the i.MX8M. Although for the i.MX8M Mini is a faster and newer SoC, the i.MX8M supports 4K video and HDR. AMD Launches AMD Embedded R-Series APU Platform

AMD has launched their AMD Embedded R-Series accelerated processing unit (APU) platform designed for mid- to high-end graphics-intensive applications such as digital signage, casino gaming, point-of-sale systems and kiosks, as well as parallel processing applications such as medical imaging and security/surveillance thanks to OpenCL and DirectCompute support. Taiwan-based iBase unveiled MI958 Mini-ITX boards built around AMD’s G-Series T56N, T48N and T40N processors.
