The EZ-USB FX20 is a programmable USB controller supporting speedy transfers via USB 20Gbps and LVDS interfaces. It is the latest addition to Infineon’s EZ-USB line designed to add USB connectivity to devices with high-performance requirements in AI, image processing, and other demanding applications. It offers up to six times the bandwidth of its predecessor, the EZ-USB FX3. The FX20 is powered by a dual-core MCU subsystem, with ARM Cortex-M4F and ARM Cortex-M0+ cores. It features 512KB flash, 128KB SRAM, 128KB ROM, and seven serial communication blocks (SCBs). The cryptography accelerator and high-bandwidth data subsystem enable Direct Memory Access (DMA) data transfers via the supported interfaces. The programmable USB controller includes 1MB of SRAM for USB data buffering. AAEON PICO-ASL4 is a fanless, latency-sensitive Pico-ITX single board computer (SBC) built around the Intel Atom x7000RE-series “Amston Lake” SoCs and configurable with up to 16GB of DDR5 memory. The SBC supports dual display outputs via HDMI and LVDS/eDP and features four serial ports: two RS232/422/485 and two RS232. The ASUS Tinker board 3 was first unveiled in April 2023 before being renamed as Tinker Board 3N later that year, and the three variants of the Rockchip RK3568 single board computer (SBC) are now available. The standard configuration is the Tinker Board 3N in the commercial temperature range, while the Tinker Board 3N Plus has the same features, except it can operate in the industrial temperature range (-40°C to 85°C). The Tinker Board 3N Lite is a cost-down version in the same form factor, but with a single gigabit Ethernet port without PoE support, no M.2 B-key socket for an NVMe SSD or 4G/5G cellular connectivity, no 16MB SPI flash, fewer serial interfaces, and no CAN Bus. Ka-Ro Electronics’ QS93 is a tiny solder-down NXP i.MX 93 System-on-Module (SoM) running Linux and designed for edge processing. The company also offers a credit card-sized evaluation board that may remind some of the Raspberry Pi with its GPIO header and general layout, but it comes with two Fast Ethernet ports and one USB 2.0 port.
