Portwell PEB-2274 3.5-inch fanless Intel Atom x6425E SBC offers triple display support, dual GbE, three M.2 sockets, and more

Portwell has recently launched PEB-2274, a 3.5-inch fanless SBC built around Intel Atom x6425E Elkhart Lake SoC. Key features include up to 32GB DDR4 memory, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, three M.2 sockets for storage and expansion, and a wide 9V to 36V DC power input. Additionally, it has various display interfaces (HDMI, DP, LVDS), multiple serial ports, USB, and audio options. We have already covered several other 3.5-inch inch Elkhart Lake SBCs with dual Ethernet ports including the Avalue ECM-EHL 3.5-inch SBC, Congatec Conga-PA7 Pico-ITX board, the iBase IB836 3.5-inch SBC, and the AAEON GENE-EHL5 SBC. All these boards support dual Ethernet and some of them have support for triple ethernet ports. Intel RealSense Depth Module D421 offers a low-cost depth-sensing solution at just $80

Intel RealSense Depth Module D421 is an entry-level stereo depth module with a 0.2 to 3-meter recommended range, a global shutter to capture motion without artifacts, and a 75° × 50° field of view (FoV). Intel has made RealSense Depth cameras for years, including the popular RealSense D435i with 6 DoF tracking introduced in 2018 that currently sells for about $320. But not all projects need the most advanced features and/or are viable when needing to spend several hundred dollars on the camera itself. The RealSense Depth Module D421 is a much cheaper way to integrate depth-sensing into projects at a much lower price point. It’s fairly similar to the earlier D435 but lacks an RGB camera. ASUS has launched the X7433RE-IM-A, a 3.5-inch industrial motherboard powered by an Intel Atom X7433RE Amston Lake SoC. The processor supports Intel Deep Learning Boost (DL Boost) and Intel AVX2 SIMD instructions to enhance AI processing and accelerate workloads at the IoT edge. The X7433RE-IM-A single-board computer supports up to 16GB of DDR5 4800MHz In-Band ECC memory via a SO-DIMM slot. The Intel Atom X7433RE processor, with integrated Intel UHD Graphics, supports up to three 4K displays through HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and LVDS/eDP 1.2. Khadas Mind 2 portable mini PC gets Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Ultra 7 155H update, USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 interfaces

Khadas Mind 2 is an update to the Raptor Lake-powered Khadas Mind portable mini PC offered with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Core Ultra 155H Meteor Lake processor. It ships with up to 64GB LPDDR5, PCIe 4.0 storage, and adds Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 interfaces that were missing from the first model. We reviewed the original Khadas Mind Premium with both Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22.04, and its dock, and it was indeed a pretty cool, albeit pricey, device with features like a small built-in battery to move the computer from one room to another without turning it off, and the Mind Link interface enabling connecting to the Khadas Dock for extra peripherals, the Mind Graphics for higher-end graphics, and more. Jetway MF32 is a 3.5-inch single-board computer (SBC) offered with either an Intel 13th Gen Core i5-1335UE or an Intel Processor U300. Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus 8-core – A 4 GHz octa-core processor for entry-level Copilot+ PCs and laptops

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X line of ARM-based processors is designed for Windows laptops, offering CPUs capable of competing with Intel and AMD processors. The Snapdragon X Plus (10 core) and Snapdragon X Elite, announced last year, include high-performance NPUs for AI processing. Qualcomm has now introduced the entry-level Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor, targeting the $700 to $900 laptop market instead of the ~$1,300+ asked for something like the Microsoft Surface Laptop 15. It reduces CPU and graphics performance while maintaining the same AI features as the higher-end models. The Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus lineup includes two octa-core processors: the X1P-46-100 and X1P-42-100, both built on a 4nm process. We’ve now had time to test the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS mini PC in more detail with the Windows 11 Pro operating system. So in the second part of the review, we’ll report our experience with the Maxtang T0-FP750 in Windows 11 Pro with a software overview, features testing, benchmarks, networking and storage performance, cooling performance, and measurement of fan noise and power consumption.
