German technology company TQ Embedded has unveiled the TQMxE40 computer-on-module families based on the Intel Atom x6000E series, as well as Intel Pentium and Celeron N and J “Elkhart Lake” processors that comply with COM Express Mini, COM Express Compact, and SMARC computer-on-module standards. The company’s TQMxE40M, TQMxE40S, and TQMxE40C1/C2 embedded modules are offered with all twelve Intel Elkhart Lake processors, up to 64GB RAM, and a -40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range. Tiny Rock Pi S SBC gets PoE & audio HAT add-on board
Powered by a Rockchip RK3308 quad-core Cortex-A35 processor, Radxa Rock Pi S single board computer was launched with specifications listing PoE support via an add-on board. Just one little problem though: it was not available for sale. The good news is that Radxa has now launched a PoE HAT for the Linux SBC adding support for 802.3af PoE up to 10W input, making it one of the smallest single board computers with PoE support in the world, and adding audio features with a 3.5mm audio jack, and an FPC connector for a microphone array. AMD Launches Chromebook-Optimized Ryzen and Athlon 3000 C-Series Mobile Processors
After unveiling Athlon 3000-series of 15W mobile processors earlier this year, AMD has now announced Chromebook-optimized mobile processors with AMD Ryzen and Athlon 3000 C-Series family. Designed in collaboration with Google, the new AMD mobile “Zen” processors deliver up to 178% faster web browsing and 212% better performance for multitasking and content creation compare to the previous generation AMD A6-9220C powered Chromebooks. There are currently five 15W Ryzen/Athlon 3000 C-Series processors for Chromebooks.
