Unboxing of VidOn.me AV200 Android Blu-Ray Box

I had only reviewed on device based on AllWinner A31 before, namely CS868 mini PC which turned out to be disappointing. And recently I’ve reviewed quite of few Amlogic and Rockchip TV boxes, so I’m happy to get a change and try again with another AllWinner A31 based device thanks to VidOn.me AV200 Android Blu-ray Box. MK813 Quad Core Android TV Box with a 2MP Camera Sells for $47

Prices for Android TV boxes based on Rockchip RK3188 are getting ridiculously low, probably because some people are getting rid off stocks. After MK918 that sells for about $50 , MK813 is another quad core Android media player with 1 to 2 GB RAM, 8GB flash, and a 2MP camera that you can buy for $46.80 on Aliexpress (1GB RAM) from a seller with decent feedback, and that includes shipping. Peek into the Smart Home of the Future with ARM Seamless Computing IoT Demo

We’ve seen lots of home automation being launched on crowdfunding platforms in the last year or so, and companies like Samsung, Archos, Google and Apple have launched, announced, or bought smart hone solutions. Recently ARM has hosted a demo for the smart home based on Cortex-M MCU mbed development boards, a single board computer gateway, and sensinode connected home software framework. CloudnetGo CR16 is a Rockchip RK3288 based TV Box with HDMI, AV and VGA Outputs

As we’ve seen in our list of RK3288 Android TV boxes, CloudnetGo has already announced CR12 and CR13 models powered by the quad core Cortex A17 SoC. With their new CR16 model, they are the only Rockchip RK3288 TV box with VGA (and HDMI + AV) output that I know of. Another interesting feature of this media player is the enclosure which stands vertically. SolidRun HummingBoard Raspberry Pi-Like Board is Now Available for $45 and Up

HummingBoard is a board made by SolidRun that’s mechanically compatible with the Raspberry Pi, and offering the same expansions connectors, and a few extras. The board is comprised of a baseboard and a microSoM powered by Freescale i.MX6 Solo, Dual Lite or Dual. At first it looked like an internal project,  but the board went viral together with the Banana Pi, and the company has now announced availability for the HummingBoard with pricing starting at $45 for the single core version up to $100 for the dual core version with extra options.
