While the press release only mentions tablets as the target devices for Kompanio 1300T SoC, the product page extends that to 2-in-1’s and laptops. I’d assume all Android-based, and Windows 11 is not in the card just yet.
Tablets powered by the Kompanio 1300T processor are expected to launch in Q3 2021.

2560×1440/1600, no?
I find it odd that it can capture 4K video, but it has no means to display it, not even to an external display.
Yes, correct. I got confused as the phone resolution is 2520×1080.
It’s possible to capture 4K videos on the tablet, and watch them on something else.
Yes, just like almost all current phone SOCs.
Except this is meant for laptops, not phones.
Even my six year old laptop can output 4K30p over HDMI, this chip can not.
As 4k is not my primary focus, it looks very nice for a tab/netbook. Wondering if it will ever get decent Linux support
Driving a 1440p external monitor would be an improvement over their current offering.
e.g. Chromebook Duet limited to 720p@60hz over USB-C.
No word about USB. I would assume USB-C but 2.0 .
And now 1380
without GSM modem

That will be nice SBC with this SOC
