Back in 2014, Google killed Google TV and announced Android TV, and as a result, introduced ADT-1, the first developer kit specifically designed for Android TV. Since then ADT-2 was introduced in 2018 in an HDMI stick form factor, and now the company has announced the launch of Android TV on Android 10 together with ADT-3 devkit targetting Android TV app development for Android 10.
The “developer kit” just looks like a standard TV box, although It’s really tiny and comes with what looks like a voice remote control.
Google did not provide the full specifications, but ADT-3 is equipped with a quad-core Cortex A53 processor coupled with 2GB DDR3 memory, and supports 4Kp60 HDR video playback and output via an HDMI 2.1 output port. That probably means the box is powered by an Amlogic S905X2 processor since few other TV box SoCs combine 4x A53 cores with HDMI 2.1.
The device is pre-certified, and will receive updates and security patches to help developers design applications for the next generation of Android TV devices, and ensure compatibility.
Google ADT-3 will not be sold to consumers, only developers, which will be able to purchase the kit through an OEM partner.

That is cool however maybe post an own separate article that is only for Android TV 10?That is, this article is really only about the ADT-3 hardware but “Android TV 10” should probably get its own article?
Maybe in that article go into detail about what is new for developers and users as well as which hardware and will could support it?
That would be nice but Google did not provide many details specific to Android TV.
Many of the new improvements will be the same as annouced for < a href=https://www.cnx-software.com/2019/09/04/android-10-released-whats-new/> Android 10
You already talked about it guys, that’s just the same device.
The Askey STI6130 with an Amlogic S905Y2.

I completely forgot about that device. Amlogic S905Y2 does make sense since there’s no Ethernet.
That probably means it will be available to end users as well.
It will if it’s picked up by some operators indeed.
An Amlogic yukawa device has just shown up on AOSP (Android 10) in two repos:

The manufacturer is SEI Robotics, and I can see commits about SEI-610, but also Khadas VIM3L
I tweeted about it.

Never ever before not seen Sweden listed when Finland, Denmark and Norway are. I have only ever seen it the way around as Sweden is usually among the first small country to get new tech.
