I double check the prices on GearBest and GeekBuying, and they sell the device in the same 3GB/32GB configuration for $65.99 and $61.99 including shipping respectively, which means the offer on Banggood is about $17.50 and $13.50 cheaper.
Banggood has a site-wide promotion on their store during September 7-9 for their 11th anniversary, where you may find further deals for gadgets and other products.

Looks Cheaper to me
The game is on at Gearbest as usual.
How good is the support of LibreElec on those STB with S912? 😮 ?
It is usable and HW video decoding fully works but there are issues with GPU drivers (software decoding and GUI rendering). Read more here: https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/5848-8-1-6-libreelec-8-2-for-s912/
Since i have this box running with Linux 4.13 in headless mode (balbes150 + Armbian), i can tell it’s been working fine for couple of days now.
But there are better choices like Rock64 obviously with USB3 support 🙂
@fossxplorer
have you tried using docker with this?
Is this the 9377 WiFi?
@Gaetano
it’s not recommended by LibreELEC developer but there is some builds available for it on the forum
by kszaq
the developer recommends S905/X instead?
https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/9319-8-1-6-libreelec-8-2-for-s905-s905x/
No warning for the S905/X build
there is a promo on mecool m8s s905x tomorrow at $29.99:
https://www.banggood.com/collection-4236.html
how does s905x compare to s912? (mainly for video playback)
All S912’s (except MINIX U9) are the worst Android Marshmallow Boxes you can buy IMHO.
There are known issues with AML MM Firmware and the S912 that result in darker than normal picture outputs.
This is only fixed with AML Android Nougat Firmware.
Buyer Beware !
Video playback on a S905X box will be identical to a S912.
If buying AMLogic hardware these days make sure you get something with Nougat Firmware – far less AMLogic bugs.

I’ve installed Docker CE directly from Docker’s repo (not older versions from Ubuntu’s repos). It works, but ONLY with arm/armhf images, i.e 32-bits. None of the aarch64/arm64v8 images work.
Although Armbian’s balbes150 build i’m using is 64-bits….not sure why really.

Obvisouly, i managed to install 32-bits version of Docker. Now that i got Docker installed the right was and it’s 64-bits binary, it works fine with arm64v8 🙂 This box works well with balbes150’s Armbian version 🙂
