Hexagonal shape looks pretty cool, but I question its aerodynamic efficiency.
Mounting your TV boxes externally on your car, are we?
its nearly pretty enough for me to own
But will it blend?
I have one and kodi(16.1) will crash constantly don’t know if it is the firmware or something else
@Ivanrodz81
it`s the Andriod 6 thats making it crash
Can you back date andriod 6? Or do u know of a patch
Sunvell T95Z Plus for $57.99 with ST95ZP coupon @ http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_443591.html?wid=21
Not Marshmellow making it crash. its the Amlogic Chip
@oc
is there something i can do to fix that ?? thanks
@gilles lepage
Yea, run Kodi 17. It does not have the issues for some reason.
If you go under system then I believe video then turn settings to advanced or expert go into acceleration and disable the amlogic hardware acceleration. This will fix the 16.2 crash issue until the issue can be addressed in the full release of Kodi 17.
Does any one have the firmware for the s912 chipset for the t95zplus
How to boot this box to 1440×900 resolution or below? In the kernel command line resolution is 1080@60 and in settings/display does not help with LG W1942T with DVI connector. The monitor says: digital out of range 67.5Khz/60Hz when using it via hdmi-dvi cable.
Does anyone know if you can run a VPN on the Sunvell T95Z Plus? I have looked everywhere and I cant find anything on this subject. Even on all of the thousands of adds and auctions on ebay, NONE of them talk about VPN capabilities.
@jdog
I’ve always seen a VPN option on all Android TV boxes I’ve tested. However, I’ve never specifically tested VPN.
@Jean-Luc Aufranc (CNXSoft)
Thanks for the reply. Yes I have seen it too on some reviews, but again no one EVER talked about it in the reviews or showed how to use it, I mean NOTHING! I dont want to buy one and then find out that I can not use a VPN on it. The box really looks nice.
@jdog
Finding something specific to T95Z Plus might be tough. Maybe try TV box forums like Freaktab.
I can see several videos about VPN in Android TV box. A guy recently posted a video about Hola VPN app, and you don’t even need to go through the settings -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk5r2noDnV0
@Jean-Luc Aufranc (CNXSoft)
Thanks for that. I already have a VPN (ExpressVPN) they are great. Been using them now for little over a year. They have apps also. I did not see one for this box per say, but like you said they had one for Android TV Streamers. I dont want to have to set my Router up on VPN either. Again thanks for all of your help!
@Jean-Luc Aufranc (CNXSoft)
Oh, and I found Freaktab today and already signed up. I got the same question up there but no replies yet.
@Jean-Luc Aufranc (CNXSoft)
Does it support 7.1 audio output via HDMI, so that i can use an external HDMI to 7.1 audio DAC converter??
@Prabu
It depends. See typical HDMI audio pass-through for S912 boxes -> http://www.cnx-software.com/2016/08/24/m12n-amlogic-s912-octa-core-tv-box-review-part-2-android-6-0-firmware/
SuperCeleron at FreakTab.com has made a ROM with some nice fixes for this awesome device. Have a look here if interested: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-support/amlogic-based-tv-players/s912/others-aml-s912/firmware-roms-tools-by/619564-rom-sunvell-t95z-plus-t95k-pro-t95u-pro-superceleron-v1-final-rom
Hello, who has this firmware? T95z plus firmware T5ZP0030, my wifi is down :'(
@jdog
You can set up VPN on this machine but so far I have only been able to get PPTP working but it is horribly slow. All other protocols will not connect. I have tried a direct configuration through the PureVPN app and it still is SLOW.
The wireless speed even without VPN running is about half of what I get even with my cheap android phone.
I would avoid this hardware because I cannot imagine some no name Chinese company ever issuing a software update.
Unit reverts back to Chinese when I turn it off ?
@Steve Cousins
Try to disable HDMI CEC on your box or/and your TV.
