$134 Voyo V2 mini PC Comes with 96GB Storage, a Larger Built-in Battery

Most low cost Windows mini PCs based on Intel Bay Trail-T processors ship with 32GB internal storage, but as I found out with MeLE PCG03 mini PC it gets filled pretty quickly. So a few mini PCs have started to increase capacity to 64GB, as was the case with Voyo mini PC, which also included a small battery, but with version 2 of Voyo the company has decided to go with a 32 eMMC combined with a 64GB SSD, and a 4,500 or 8,000 mAh battery.

Voyo_V2Voyo V2 specifications (Bold highlights show differences with Voyo V1):

  • SoC – Intel Atom Z3735F “Bay Trail” quad core processor @ 1.33 GHz (Bust freq: 1.83 GHz) with Intel HD graphics
  • System Memory – 2 GB DDR3
  • Storage – 32 GB eMMC + optional 64 GB SSD (depends on model)
  • Video Output – standard HDMI 1.4b
  • Audio Output – HDMI, and 3.5mm audio jack
  • Connectivity – Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0
  • USB – 1x USB 2.0 host, 1x micro USB
  • Misc – Power Button, power LED
  • Battery – 4,500 or 8,000 mAh battery (Depends on model)
  • Power Supply – 5V/2A via power barrel
  • Dimensions – 13.1 x 8.2 x 1.5 cm (V1: 126 x 126 x 12 mm)
  • Weight – 300 grams (V1: 140 grams)

Voyo_V2_DescriptionThe computer will ship with a power adapter, and a user’s manual. There are two models, but unfortunately with the same name: one version with 64GB SSD and 4,500 mAh battery, and another without SSD and a 8,000 mAh battery. I understand that you might be able to install your own SSD in the latter (TBC). The Windows 8.1 version installed on the device is claimed to be genuine.

Voyo V2 is expected to ship by the end of July, but both models are already up for pre-order respectively for $134 and $123 on GeekBuying and Gearbest.

there seems to be no mention of how to install internal storage, only that the maximum is 64GB
I have no idea how that should work.

if it were “insert your mSATA”, then this device would even be something i could consider. But i’m pretty sure that isn’t the case here. :-/

I don’t quite understand, since it can support SSD, then why eMMC is still there ?

Yes, too tricky altogether. According to the dimensions, one model is square (126 x 126 mm) and the other is rectangular (131 x 82 mm), the pictured rectangular one being more pocketable but, according to the pictures, having no SD or microSD slot. IMHO it also needs at least one more standard USB port.

Yes Im sure. Its a standard Chinese lie, straight in your face with a smile
Z3735F doesnt have PCIE, usb 3.0 nor SATA. All it has is 2x device USB 2.0, SD, SDIO(wifi) and eMMC
So either they are lying about SD card being SSD, or USB 2.0 pendrive being SSD, pick your lie 🙂
also “gigabit ethernet” is is over 480Mbit USB 2.0

8 would be closer to the truth, and usb pendrive is no ssd either.

if it were SD, then that 64GB-Limit would make kind of sense too.
so i’d think it’s that.

This unit is trash. It began to update Windows 10, then lost the bootloader, now the USB ports are disabled so there is absolutely NO WAY to input anything. So there’s no way to access the BIOS, or the operating system. I turn it on, it boots to Windows, and shuts down after a few minutes due to no keyboard activity.
