Rikomagic RKM MK42 Intel N100 mini PC targets business applications such as digital signage

Rikomagic RKM MK42 is yet another Intel Processor N100 mini PC but geared towards business applications such as digital signage, retail kiosks, or IoT gateway rather than home use.

The mini PC ships with 12GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, and offers dual GbE, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, dual 4K display setups through HDMI and DP++ ports, and five USB ports for expansion.

Intel N100 business mini PC

The mini PC ships with Windows 11 pre-installed, and the package includes a power adapter and an HDMI cable by default. I don’t really see features or ports that would be specifically geared toward commercial applications, so Rikomagic probably just made a business decision to target the B2B market.

It’s not the first time we’ve covered an Intel N100 mini PC for business applications, as the smaller Azulle Access Pro PC stick focuses on the same market running Windows 11, Linux (Ubuntu 22.04), or a “Zoom” OS (Windows 10 IoT 2021 LTSC preconfigured to boot to Zoom).

Rikomagic has yet to list the RKM MK42 mini PC on AliExpress or other online stores, but AndroidTVBox.eu reports the price is $193 per unit for a minimum order of 20 units. Additional details may be found on the product page.

I can’t see the business connection either. It’s just another typical N100 box. If those USB pots are Gen 2 then that could make a difference but absent of that, at the speculated price, it will likely be hard to sell in a very crowded market.

Agreed. And it’s fun that they don’t target home applications because ports and buttons are pretty well disposed between front and back, like end users expect them.
