All the information comes from Amazon, but the MeLE website has a product page for the Quieter DL too. However, it only offers an older Intel Celeron N5105 CPU as an option. The Quieter DL4G is listed with an Intel N100 CPU but comes with three external antennas for both WiFi and (I assume) 4G LTE cellular connectivity although the product page is not explicit about this.
The MeLE QuieterDL can be purchased on Amazon for $159.99 with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, $219.99 in 8GB/256GB configuration, and $249.99 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. There’s no pricing information about the Quieter DL4G, possibly because it’s an ODM-only design.

At this price I’m wondering if it can become a bit of an SBC killer. I mean, who wants to pay $100 for an Arm board without enclosure, low (if at all) NVME performance, often limited connectivity, without out-of-the-box support for a standard OS when targetting generic usages when for slightly more you can get something significantly more powerful that addresses the main criticisms often made against Arm SBCs. If you aim for cost cutting and power draw (and fun), Arm SBC often win. But if you aim for integration, ease of use, and standarization, this one very likely wins.
IIRC, someone did a blog post about converting a MeLE into a mobile phone…
In a very crowded market for N100, the use of DDR4 immediately puts it on the back foot and then you look at the price and see anther downside.
The one key advantage over most is hat it is fanless but we will have to see testing to see if the cooling solution is actually effective.
Performance in this form factor will be lower than that of an equivalent actively-cooled system.
Even the thicker MINIX NEO Z100-0dB fanless mini PC is slower than similar systems with a fan, although it’s not too dramatic:

We have the quieter3 (N5105) at work in the meeting room, it’s fine for videoconferencing. It can get hot when building stuff on it for a while but it’s no problem for just a video call.
I bet those are fun meetings watching code compile 🙂
If someone use it as webserver, please write how is it in this role? Is it quick enough?
It depends on the load of your site. Any machine is “quick enough”, provided you’re able to define “enough”. Some of us have been happily running microcontrollers as web servers while others are never satisfied with 128-core ones. The N5105-based quieter3 we’re having at work reaches 40k HTTP connections per second while using only two cores, which is pretty much in the norm for such small systems. Web servers exposed to such loads are rare and never expected to be in such a form factor. As always, ultimately the perf you’ll get will solely depend on the framework you use… Read more »
Looks pretty good.
Any idea of the case material ?
I’m expecting a strong metal case 😉
The quieter3 we have at work uses thin aluminum, which almost looks like plastic to the touch because the top is a bit soft. But when it gets a bit hot you clearly figure it’s metal and not plastic. The sides however are pretty solid. I expect it might be the same here. But it’s not a “strong metal case”, at least not like machined enclosures from FriendlyELEC or Radxa.
ok, thank you Willy.
I really like the HW specs and the form factor but it’s quiet twice the price of an active cooled N100 miniPC . (300€ in France for 16G/512)
I do not have this one, but I had purchased a Quieter4C and it is all plastic, even the supposed heat dissipation block (they claim it is made of high heat conductive plastic), which is a joke for a fanless pc. I returned mine
strangely enough amazon shows a different box image for the N100 16GB/512GB version with only 1 Gigabit ethernet port which seems to be the MeLE Quieter 4C N100 so some care needs to be taken when ordering to make sure you get what you expect.
There is also a MeLE Overclock 4C Intel® N95/N100 model so.
They sell multiple models on that Amazon page. You need to select one of the three “Quieter DL-N100” models. There’s also an “Alder Lake N100-16GB-512GB” with a different design and only one gigabit Ethernet port.
