Connectivity is supported through USB Type-C and HDMI ports. The USB ports deliver video, audio, touch, and power signals through a single cable, and also support reverse PD power supply (5–20V). The two Type-C ports eliminate the need to distinguish between data and power, while HDMI with USB input enhances touch compatibility. Mounting options accommodate both Raspberry Pi and LattePanda boards, making this display a versatile choice for IoT terminals, advertising screens, and specialized equipment.

Previously, we covered an 8.8-inch HDMI and USB information display for similar target applications, but with a 14-inch diagonal size, DFRobot’s touchscreen display is the widest and highest-resolution “information display” we’ve seen so far. We also previously wrote about the Turing Smart Screen, a budget-friendly 3.5-inch USB Type-C information display. Feel free to check them out as well!

DFRobot provides a detailed tutorial on the various methods to connect the display on its wiki. The 14-inch 4K IPS bar touch display is available on the DFRobot official store for $249 and may soon become available on the company’s Amazon store.

4K (2840 x 1100) resolution

It’s tough enough calling 3840×1100 “4K” resolution, without mysteriously slashing the width by 1,000 pixels.

Later on in the article they say it is 3840 x 1100 and that is what it says on the website too.
