Seed Studio is advertising this product as designed for industrial use, however, the operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C doesn’t fully fall under the typical industrial range of -40°C to +85°C. Moreover, it doesn’t even fall under the extended commercial temperature range. On top of that, while compiling the specifications, I noticed a discrepancy between the advertised temperature specifications on the product page and the datasheet.

Seed Studio reServer Industrial J501 Specifications

The company mentions that to use the GMSL camera you need the GMSL extension board, which lets you connect up to eight GMSL cameras and supports both GMSL1 and GML2 protocols. Other than that, the company provides schematics and 3D files which can also be found on the documentation section of the products page. Getting started instructions can be found on their Wiki page.

In terms of software, the board supports Jetpack 6, which gives you the tools to easily build a custom operating system for your specific needs. Plus, you can use the Jetson Platform Service to streamline your entire development process from start to finish.

Previously, we have written about various products built around the Jetson Orin platform, including Aetina Edge AI embedded box PC, Vecow RAC-1000 series Edge AI box, and Vecow RAC-1000 series Edge AI box, among others.
