DFI ASL9A2 is a COM Express Mini Type 10 module based on Intel Atom x7000RE Amston Lake processors which are pin-to-pin compatible with the Alder Lake-N Series processors and designed for the embedded market with a wider operating temperature range.
The credit card-sized COM Express Mini module supports up to 16GB LPDDR5 memory, up to 128GB an eMMC flash, and exposes various interfaces such as 2.5GbE, PCIe Gen3, SATA 3.0, DDI and eDP/LVDS for dual display support, ten USB 3.2/2.0, and more.

DFI says the ASL9A2 COM Express Mini Atom x7000RE module supports Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit and Linux using UEFI boot. The Computer-on-Module runs the “Slim Bootloader” open-source boot firmware for Intel x86 widely used in the industrial control field. The company also implemented an optional feature named “Fast Resume & Low Power Standby” which ensures standby power consumption under 1 Watt and hardware resumption within 1 second.
The company expects the module to be integrated into high-performance, low-power, and ruggedized IoT/edge applications requiring continuous 24/7 operation in industrial and defense applications. The ASL9A2 is compatible with the COM335 carrier board and other COM Express Mini Type 10 compliant carrier boards.
The status of the ASL9A2 COM Express Mini Type 10 module is “Preliminary” meaning it’s probably not available just yet, but considering the company just announced the launch of COM it should become available very soon.
