ASRock Industrial has just announced 25 (twenty-five!) industrial motherboards powered by 14th gen Intel Core Raptor Lake-S Refresh hybrid processors with up to 24 cores and 32 threads introduced last October, and supporting up to 96GB DDR5 4800/5600 memory.
The thin and high-rise mini-ITX, micro-ATX, and ATX industrial motherboards support up to four 4K displays, PCIe Gen5 interfaces, up to three 2.5GbE ports (and 10GbE LAN for the IMB-X1316-10G model), and USB 3.2 Gen2x2 (20 Gbps) ports for factory automation, robotics, machine vision, smart retail, kiosks, digital signage, gaming, security, and more.
I would usually list the specifications of the motherboards, but since we have 25 different models, I’ll skip that and provide a summary. One reason ASRock Industrial has so many models is that those are existing motherboards with socketed processors and the company offered 12th and 13th gen CPUs so far, and the company simply updated the BIOS to support the new 14th Raptor Lake-S Refresh processors.
There are that many models because a similar motherboard design comes with H610, Q670, or W680 chipset, and the industrial motherboards are split into main families with either DDR5 or DDR4 memory.
The DDR5 motherboards with Mini-ITX form factor with slim I/O options include the IMB-1239-WV, IMB-1240-WV, IMB-X1240-WV, and the equivalent high-rise I/Os models IMB-1237, IMB-1238, IMB-X1238 with additional ports. The chipset used can determine the number of supported displays with Q670/W680 chipsets enabling quad display setups and the H610 triple display setup.
Three micro-ATX DDR5 motherboards are offered with the IMB-1315 with an H610 chipset with triple displays and dual 1G LAN, IMB-1316 with a Q670 chipset, IMB-X1316, and IMB-X1316-10G with W680 chipset offer four DDR5 4400 memory with quad displays, three LAN ports (exclusively for IMB-X1316-10G with one 10G, one 2.5G, and one 1G).
Three ASRock Industrial ATX DDR5 motherboards are available with the IMB-1713 (H610 chipset, two DDR5, triple displays, and dual LAN up to 2.5Gbps), and the IMB-1714 and IMB-X1714 with Q670/W680 chipsets offering four DDR5 4400MHz memory with triple displays and triple 2.5GbE support.
As shown in the table above there are also 12 Intel Core 14th Gen motherboards with DDR4 support
- Mini-ITX
- High Rise I/O
- IMB-1230, IMB-1241, IMB-1242 with H610 chipset, triple-display support, one or two 2.5GbE ports
- IMB-1231, IMB-X1231 with Q670/W680 chipsets, quad-display support, two 2.5GbE ports
- Thin I/O – IMB-1232-WV, IMB-1233-WV, IMB-X1233-WV with H610/Q670/W680 chipsets
- High Rise I/O
- Micro-ATX – IMB-1314 and the IMB-X1314 with Q670/W680 chipsets, four DDR4 3200MHz memory up to 128GB (32GB per DIMM), quad displays, and dual 2.5GbE (Q670) or triple 2.5GbE (W680).
- ATX – IMB-1712 with a Q670 chipset (dual 2.5GbE) and the IMB-X1712 with a W680 chipset (triple 2.5GbE). Both come with four DDR4-3200 memory for up to 128GB RAM.
