SMLIGHT SLZB-07 is a low-cost, compact Zigbee 3.0 USB adapter based on Silicon Labs EFR32 microcontroller and CP2102 USB to serial chip designed to work with multi-vendor software systems such as Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant ZHA.
The adapter lets you easily integrate any Zigbee devices into Smart Home automation systems such as Home Assistant, OpenHub, or HomeSeer and offers an alternative to products like the official SkyConnect USB stick and SONOFF ZBDongle-E. It’s also Thread and Matter ready.

Besides its compact & thin design and relatively low price, SMLIGHT also highlights the CP2102 enables up to 921 Kbps serial connection, and the USB adapter board is made of a 4-layer PCB that prevents interference between the RF dongle and the host. It’s also working with the company’s SLZB-06 Zigbee Ethernet (PoE) adapter.
The SkyConnect USB stick is actually shorter and thinner than the SLZB-07 with the same width, but it was not included in the comparison above because of the higher price ($30).
SMLIGHT SLZB-07 is sold on the company’s web store for a promotional price of 9.98$ plus shipping, and once the promotion is over, the device will go for $14.99. The latter price still compares well to the $19.90 asked for the SONOFF ZBDongle-E, although it’s usually possible to get free shipping for orders over $89 and there are some coupon codes such as CNXSOFTSONOFF. More details about the SMLIGHT SLZB-07 Zigbee USB 3.0 adapter can be found on the product page.
