There’s no information about the operating system, but other Raspberry Pi CM4-based products from EDATEC such as the CM4 Industrial rely on Raspberry Pi OS plus some extra scripts installed from apt using the “https://apt.edatec.cn/raspbian/” repository. There’s nothing for the ED-GWL2110 gateway at the time of writing, but something should eventually show up there.
EDATEC expected the outdoor gateway to be leveraged for Smart Manufacturing (Industry 4.0), Smart City, and Smart Transportation applications, as well as used as a smart LoRaWAN gateway. We don’t have pricing information yet for the Raspberry Pi CM4-based outdoor gateway, but some samples should eventually be sold on the company’s Aliexpress store. More details may also be found on the product page.

I guess it probably runs openwrt which would be most suitable for networking devices as it has all the support for managing network, firewalling, vlans ,4g, wifi and can still have more specific things like zabbix monitoring, mqtt etc.
