Miniature dual camera Full HD or 4K encoder boards support RGB and thermal cameras

Z3 Technology has introduced several miniature dual-camera encoder boards with the PoE-capable FV2K-13A and FV4K-13A boards capable of handling two visible and/or thermal cameras at Full HD or 4K resolution respectively, along with the FV2K-15A and FV4K-15A variants equipped with low-profile connectors.

All four models enable H.265/H.264 video streaming of a single or dual camera system, support ONVIF Profile S and T profile, and comply with the NDAA law in the US. This set of features as well as low power consumption and the lightweight designs make the boards suitable for UAV, inspection, surveillance, and other weight-constrained applications.

The camera board can be managed through a web GUI with live video preview, and PTZ cameras support VISCA camera control commands, Pelco D PTZ positioning, and Absolute PTZ. Other features include the ability to overlay GPS or NTP data, and compatibility with the ZEUS DMD-4K video decoder from the company so a complete solution features two cameras, the encoder board, and a DMD-4K attached to a monitor as illustrated in the diagram below.

RGB thermal cameras 4K encoder decoder solutionThe low-profile FV2K-15A and FV4K-15A models are a bit thinner and lighter (61 grams) thanks to the replacement of Ethernet, PoE, USB, and other ports or features adding thickness by low-profile connectors. Power consumption is said to be similar @ 4.5W from a 12V power source, Ethernet is limited to 100 Mbps, and it’s only possible to record to a MicroSD card or NFS since the USB port has been removed.

Do you think we Can use this hardware for an eye control system

Wonder if this could make an IP KVM? Depends on whether the USB interface supports device/gadget mode, I guess. Could even handle two displays, which would be fairly novel, I would think!
