This board does look promising. -But I don’t see a price; is that a ‘secret’ ? 😉 What I like … Cortex-A77 (as opposed to Cortex-A72) 2 x PCIe Gen3 GbE -It’s rare to see this combination (and even though I’d wish for SATA, I’d be happy with the board already, as it has PCIe, so one can get several SATA interfaces via PCIe. -However, it the price is “insane” or above, count me out – then I’d rather purchase another ClearFog CX LX2. 😉 Edit: The price seem to be $800, so I’d classify that “beyond insane”. I think… Read more »

Hi Jens, I just came across this and the comments you made to the article. (little late) what you have to remember is the board shown is a development platform. It’s not a production unit. Thundercomm/Qualcomm are intersted in people developing on thier SOC’s and SOM’s with the view to utilising some of the features offered and honing in on the technical benefits like the camera performance, wifi, bt & cellular inclusive in the small form factor package. The CT7280 som in the low thousands costs around the $350 mark, which comparible to most Processor technologies with this perfrormance level… Read more »
