We previously covered Nubia–α wearable “smartphone” in 2018. The device was basically a smartwatch with a long curved display, and at the time was at the prototype/design stage.
There’s now a similar, but more refined Snapdragon Wear 2100 powered Nubia Watch with a 4.01-inch AMOLED flexible display that has recently launched on Kickstarter. It’s unclear whether it’s related to the older prototype, as the company claims to have conceptualized the watch in October 2019.

The watch ships with a skin-friendly silicone wrist band, and a user manual. The watch can synchronize with your smartphone with Nubia Wear app available for Android and iOS. It’s however unclear which OS the watch itself is running.
The campaign has been relatively popular so far, with close to $200,000 US raised and 9 days to go. Rewards start at $199, or a 50% discount over the expected retail price, for the watch only. There’s also an optional $39 napa leather strap. Shipping adds $30, and backers should get their package ship in October 2020 barring any delays during mass production.
