Samsung officially launched the long awaited Galaxy S10 smartphone yesterday sporting either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or Samsung Exynos 9820 processor coupled with 8GB RAM, 128 to 512GB storage, and a 6.1″ display. There are actually four variants of Galaxy S10, with S10+ model coming with up to 12GB RAM, 1TB flash storage, and a 6.4″ display, S10e phone with a smaller 5.8″ display, as low as 6GB RAM, and 128 to 256GB flash storage, and S10 5G with a 5G modem, a larger 6.7″ display, 6 cameras, and a larger 4,500 mAh battery.
Many consider Samsung Galaxy phones to be the reference when it comes to Android phones, so let’s have a look at the technical specifications and features to see if there’s anything really new beside more processing power, and memory.

All four models run Android 9.0 Pie. Samsung Galaxy S10 5G brings the most innovation / new features with 5G cellular network support, and six cameras including two 3D ToF depth cameras for the capture of 3D images with both rear and front-facing cameras.
Samsung Galaxy S10e is up for pre-order for $749 and up, Galaxy S10 for $899 and up, while Galaxy S10+ goes for $999 and up with shipping starting on March 8th. Galaxy S10 5G is coming later this year at an undisclosed price. A few websites had the change to have a quick look at the phones including Ars Technica, Engadget, and Android Central among others. In case the $800+ price tag scares you, but you’d still like a Snapdragon 855 phone, Xiaomi Mi 9 was introduced on the same day, and will sells for just 2999 RMB and up in China, or about $450.
