Maybe you should check RemixOS website first to get an idea how their business model works (partnering with hardware vendors — someone has to fund software development)

I’m 99.9% sure it’s not S905 SoC. 1st, S905 is STB SoC, does not have LVDS or similar interface for panels. 2nd, assuming 2 HDMI ports are inputs, S905 supports 2-channel ITU 601/656 DVP camera input and TS stream input (c/p from amlogic.com) so that’s contradictory too. My guess it’s based on one of aml’s TV SoCs.

And if I remember correctly, Remix had to ditch official support for google apps and services, I’m not sure how popular this device will be outside of china (where google services are useless anyway).

If that’s the case it’s literally 0 R&D from AOC side. They used something like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/121059321784?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT connected it to their existing monitor and changed case a bit.

That’s exactly what I’ve done while ago with 17″ LCD panel I took from my old laptop. And this aims enterprise market? 🙂

The timing of this couldn’t be better, We are struggling too and this could be our answer.

Shame it is not a touchscreen. It seems like, for maximum compatibility, you would want a touchscreen for Remix OS devices.
