android tv launcher is called Leanback 🙂
Wonder if the Rippl-TV launcher is still based on Kodi (formely XBMC)?

And I think that company behind Rippl-TV is a one-person show, or?
@Harley
It’s promoted by Shenzhen Tomato, but I’m not sure who is behind the firmware.
@memeka
Rippl-TV V2 have 2 X Intergrated Launchers, One is AndroidTV Launcher, one is Rippl-TV player. And The Rippl-TV player is one of the most widely used pieces of software in the world built with historic XBMC/KODI ecosystem, making it fully compatible with all add-ons and services. The Rippl-TV Player stands out because it is fully integrated into the operating system. It is a match made in heaven-the way the developers tuned the player into a full-fledged optional launcher that flows with Lollipop Android as if it was the main interface. It has option of being a launcher to go directly into after boot or used as an App. Android System and player settings, Android and KODI add-ons, emulators and android App can all be launched inside the Rippl-TV player. It is playback compatibilities include all the things required for the future of media including HEVC 4K2K@60fps, making it perfect for the new HDMI2.0 port in the V2 hardware.
And have professional team to support Rippl-TV V2.
@Harley
RIPPL-TV V2 did a great improvement and upgrading based on the V1. The new V2 is more easier to use, no need to learn more. 2x launchers are TV-friendly. The Rippl-TV Player can be as one launcher built with Android System and player settings, Android and XBMC/KODI add-ons, emulators and android App.
And another AndroidTV launched integrated Google Cast.
Rippl TV V2 team members are from USA and China.
Interesting, thanks 🙂
Why only 1GB RAM…instant fail 🙁
Yes, 1GB RAM is poor. What about HD-Audio, did it support it through HDMI? This is important for many users.
What is “Winevine L1 DRM”?!
Thats the drm needed for netflix app and some other on demand apps. 1GB for 90$… wow just wow…
@Mac
@mrmaso

I never will buy again a Rippl-TV: no support at all!
I have a V1 and I enjoyed it a little: but no support, FB page disappered, no reply to mail, NO FIRMWARE UPGRADE!
Unless you want buy a V1, V2,V3 every year…. this product is useless!
Other brands have forum, support, regular firmware updates….
